Hell yeah. I gotta get up there this year. What's the best time of year around there for kings??
🐟 Smallmouth fishing in the Traverse City area is world class for several reasons. A few of the reasons include the crystal clear waters, the breathtaking scenery, and the abundance of Smallmouth the area offers. The clear waters of the area can be very intimidating for those who are not on the water everyday.
Fortunately, Captain Ron Dohm Jr and the guides of Sport Fish Michigan are out chasing these fish everyday during the spring and fall. This ensures that on your Smallmouth trip all of the odds will be in your favor! The only thing left for you to do is execute on your opportunities!

State's secret talks with tribes could reshape Great Lakes fishing
www.shorelinemedia.net
Negotiations are underway that could reshape fishing on a large chunk of the Great Lakes, including much of Lake Michigan. What I don’t get is why these talks, meetings, etc are “secret” ? Think about how many different groups are affected….recreational anglers, the tribes, charter captains, commercial fishermen, it even trickles down to restaurants, tourist businesses, etc, you name it. With the billions of dollars spent on fishing, tourism, etc…..everything negotiated should be out in the open and available to the public. It would get heated for sure, but maybe that’s how it should be.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, thank you for everything you do!
