If you’re hesitant because you are worried about your ability to perform a cast, feel the bite, or set the hook, don’t be! Some of the best trips happen when groups who come out have little to no experience. They also have very few preconceived notions and they also seem to be open to suggestions we may give to help you better perform the technique we are using that day. The only time the guides will pick up a rod is to show you a tip or technique, the goal is to have you catch the fish! The guide’s job is to make sure you’re around the fish and then to net your Smallmouth as it gets close to the boat.
