Foil Wrapped Fish Recipe

At Mega Bite Fishing Charters we catch a lot of fish! We love the excited look on our client’s faces when they realize they have a fish on the line and the satisfaction that comes with reeling in a big fish! We also love our lakes and practice sustainable fishing practices. This means we encourage our clients to take home only as much fish as they can eat in an effort to prevent overfishing and waste. Over the years we have collected a number of different recipes for freshly caught Salmon and Trout including our Foil Wrapped Fish Dinner recipe below. The next time you reel in a big fish, we hope you’ll give it a try!

Grilled Foil Wrapped Fish Dinner Recipe

2-4 Salmon or Trout Filets

1 green bell pepper

1 red bell pepper

1 orange bell pepper

1 onion

3 Garlic cloves (garlic powder works also)

1 C Mushrooms

Lawry’s® Seasoning Salt

1-2 sticks of butter (depending on amount and size of fillets)

Place fillet SKIN side down onto a large sheet of tin foil. Give the fillet a nice coating of Lawry’s Seasoning Salt. Put garlic cloves directly onto the meat side (or add garlic powder).

Dice up the onion, bell peppers, and mushrooms (you can add whatever other vegetables you like). Then, pile all of the vegetables on top of the fillet.

Spread slabs of butter on top of the mound of vegetables. We typically sprinkle a little more Lawry’s on top but that is up to you.

Fold up tin foil then double wrap it to ensure a good seal. Grill on medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes (or until the vegetables are cooked through). Season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
